Services Provided
The services TVG provides are focused mainly around dairy cattle management and production, which accounts for 90% of our work, with the remaining 10% being comprised of work relating to other production and companion animals.The following individual dairy cow and whole dairy herd services are offered:
- traditional on farm animal health services
- herd reproductive services
- milk quality advisory and investigation services
- nutritional assessment and ration optimisation services
- farm business management services
- embryo transfer services
- human resource management services
- disease control program advice and management
TVG is also involved in off farm activities such as:
- local, national and international industry extension programs
- training of undergraduate veterinary students
- various local and national veterinary and community postitions
We are also involved in research projects and trials of veterinary therapeutics and procedures.
